A shadow cast after the noontime sun
Walking through beds of sand to roiling ocean
Rolling over the waves
to run from pain
to grasp a life
where time might flow as salt
Through ever rising wanderlustful tragedy
With raggedy fools arrayed in tousled hair and bronzen hopes
to drag back the ebbing youth
from which they fled
From flesh of red
to darkened hearts
Unknowing
Still rowing
The endless depths
Nice!
